Of all the coffeemakers I have used, the Capresso model 437-02 is by far the best in design and performance. The removable water reservoir is a unique feature not found on other coffeemakers. This unit is very easy to service and makes excellent "HOT" coffee in a well-designed 8-cup thermal carafe. The coffeemaker and carafe are both easy to keep clean. The carafe lid is a solid design without clogging vent holes found on others. If you're looking for a coffeemaker with outstanding features and performance, give this one a try.
Description of Capresso 437.02 Elegance 8-Cup Digital Thermal Coffeemaker, White
By brewing directly into a 40-ounce, insulated thermos carafe, this 900-watt drip coffeemaker keeps coffee hot for hours, eliminating the need for a warming plate, which can turn coffee bitter over time. The carafe's lid seals in place during brewing, locking in flavor and aroma, and there's an optional charcoal water-filter cartridge for reducing chlorine in tap water. All this adds up to great-tasting coffee from start to finish. Other features include a digital clock/timer that can be programmed 24 hours in advance to brew "wake-up" coffee, a swing-out filter basket, a permanent GoldTone coffee filter, a removable water tank, an automatic shutoff after brewing, and an automatic interrupter that halts coffee flow if the carafe is removed for a quick pour, and internal cord storage.
