I bought this coffemaker around a year ago...it was by far one of the best purchases I've made! It's simple to use and makes a fantastic pot of coffee that will, in all seriousness, stay piping hot for over 4-5 hours. I've had my coffee in the morning before work and have come home hours later and it's still hot. What really did it for me was the superior customer service--I had run out of filters and my sister used a napkin filter which clogged up my machine. I called Capresso, and they sent me a new unit within 5 days, with a prepaid return label for my unit. Amazing!! I'll never ever buy another brand again!!

Description of Capresso 439.04 Elegance 8-Cup Digital Thermal Coffeemaker, Silver with Black Accents
By brewing directly into a 40-ounce, insulated thermos carafe, this 900-watt drip coffeemaker keeps coffee hot for hours, eliminating the need for a warming plate, which can turn coffee bitter over time. The carafe's lid seals in place during brewing, locking in flavor and aroma, and there's an optional charcoal water-filter cartridge for reducing chlorine in tap water. All this adds up to great-tasting coffee from start to finish. Other features include a digital clock/timer that can be programmed 24 hours in advance to brew "wake-up" coffee, a swing-out filter basket, a permanent gold-tone coffee filter, a removable water tank, automatic shutoff after brewing, an automatic interrupter that halts coffee flow if you remove the carafe for a quick pour, and internal cord storage.
