Customer Review: Amazing difference! Burr grinders ROCK!

I just received my new grinder today and immediately brewed up a fresh cup with the grinder set to "4", using Starbucks African beans (BOLD) and a Cuisinart Two To Go (TTG-500) coffeemaker with a paper filter. I had almost completely given up drinking coffee at home because my old Braun blade grinder produced bitter java that didn't seem to be worthy of the name "Coffee". I concede that I use a low-end coffeemaker now, but I have used higher quality brewers in the past and haven't noticed a great deal of difference.That has all CHANGED!! The cup I brewed this evening was smooth and delicious. No more bitter flavor, no more oily film floating on the top! Completely comparable to expensive coffeehouse java. Since the only change I made was the grinder, I know who to thank!
I was lucky enough to purchase this grinder on the cheap, but now that I have tried it I would have gladly forked out full retail. I'll save that much in the first month alone, brewing at home instead of trekking out to Starbucks!
Try a burr grinder today! You'll never go back!
P.S. I have noticed that the cleaning process takes only slightly longer than my old blade grinder (more parts). Totally worth it!

By pulverizing beans with a burr instead of chopping them with a blade, this 100-watt coffee grinder maximizes flavor and aroma and minimizes the loss of delicate oils to heat. Beans are ground more uniformly and with less "dust" (which causes over-extraction and bitterness during coffee brewing). Equipped with an electronic sensor that automatically shuts off the grinder when grinding is completed, this shapely appliance has a 17-position grind selector to ensure the proper grind for any type of brewing method, from espresso to French press. The selector also permits adjustments for such variables as humidity and personal taste. Bean capacity ranges from enough for two cups of coffee to enough for 16. Both the bean holder and the ground-coffee container are transparent, and the latter is designed for spill-free pouring. The grinding burr removes for cleaning. (Cleaning brush and bean measuring scoop included.)
